The Merchant Navy in the Second World War. Book in very good condition, spine slightly faded and spines slightly bumped. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper. A very good tight copy. Dustjacket in fair condition, pieces missing at top front edge and top of spine, 1½" closed tear at top front edge, spine tanned and back cover marked (dust?), please see picture. 207pp, plus Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleet Honours and Awards. The total number of awards up to 31 March 1947 was 8,449 - it gives a list of the number of the different awards given each year. With frontispiece and 14 black-and-white photographs. The Malta and Russian Convoys, Dunkirk, the saga of the Jervis Bay, the story of the Graf Spee, and other lesser known stories of the war at sea are told.
