. Marbled boards are rubbed around edges, ends and sides of spine (see picture). Endpapers are browned, all the pages have a light brown stain ( 10cms long by 2cms wide approx) at bottom edge. Previous owner's name and date 1906 (twice) on front free endpaper. Annotations in pencil on a few of the pages. Also 2cms roundish light brown stain on title-page and frontispiece. Tiny piece missing at bottom front edge of last page. A good tight copy, with clean bright pages. Numerous illustrations throughout the text. Illustrée par Théophile Schuler - Gravures par .
