Story of the longest missionary voyage ever undertaken, led by a Yorkshireman, George Bennett, and a vicar from the Isle of Wight, Daniel Tyerman. In 1821 they set off on a whaler bound for Tahiti. Other places they visited included New Zealand, Australia, the Orient, India and Mauritius. With near escapes from sharks, tigers, pirates, and cannibals.
