With coloured frontispiece, and numerous colour and black-and-white illustrations throughout the book, there are many full-page, a few are double-page, the rest in text, there are illustrations on most of the pages and all are water-colours and pencil drawings. The book is entirely illustrated with Queen Victoria's own work, including ballet and opera, her coronation and wedding, the ever-increasing family, and her trips abroad..
