Spines a little faded, some foxing at top and front edges, just a few pages have two or three spots of foxing. otherwise pages are clean and bright . Vol. One has ½" tear at top spine edge. Both volumes are very good tight copies. Vol. One: xvii, 322pp. With frontispiece (coloured sketch of a guardsman). and 10 maps (9 folding). Vol. Two: xi, 358pp, including index.
